Goal 2: Reduction of the sexual transmission of HIV through:

• Strengthening of behaviour change programmes

•Targeted interventions (youth)

• Open dialogue

• Increased workplace interventions

• Increase roll out of prevention programmes for high risk

populations

• A package of sexual and reproductive health and HIV prevention

into all relevant health services

• Prevention programmes for HIV-positive people

Goal 4: Minimise the risk of transmission through blood and

blood products

• Occupational exposure / Accidental exposure

The Approach

The track participants agreed to address the reduction of 50%

of new HIV infections through goal 2 and 4:

The establishment of a fulltime HIV & AIDS representative forum

• The platform from which Private Sector, Public Sector and Civil

Society will launch and coordinate a collaborative response to

the goals

• Defined Accountability and Responsibility

• Clear Leadership in interventions

• Coordination of wellness interventions across all sectors

• Access to uniform interventions

• Skills transfer between Private and Public as well as

strengthening Civil Society
