Objectives

• Foster the Life Sciences economy in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine

• Stimulate the cross-border mobility of the Euregional workforce

• Offer an Euregional career portal (transparency, accessibility and visibility on a global level)

• Enhancing the attractiveness of the EMR region

Starting point

In the future it will be become more and more difficult to recruit personnel, especially in the Life Sciences sector where rapid developments have taken place

Changing recruitment environment:• Lack of highly educated people• Expensive recruitment tools do not give guarantees

The Life Sciences sector in the Euregio only exists in theory. Much has to be done to create a tight community in which Life Sciences in the Euregio becomes a well-known ‘brand’.

Project content

Three workpackages

1. Euregional training for managers

2. Marketing the Euregional Life Sciences competences internationally

Euregional career portal for the Life Sciences

3. Establishing a "Master Class" to stimulate exchange of information between Euregional pre-graduates, graduates, young professionals and companies

Workpackage 1Euregional training for managers

Bringing HR experts, managers and entrepreneurs into contact with each other via seminars / networking event:

creating a network to share HR expertise on difficult aspects of recruitment in- and outside their own region

• Create awareness about potential of the Euregio• Make sure the managers have access to the potential of the Euregio• Providing insights and overview of difficult aspects with regard to recruiting in the Euregio

Workpackage 3Master Classes

Aim:Establish informal meetings between future possible employees and companies

In a short, intensive period the student/young professional get the chance to learn about the companies and expand their knowledge

The companies can select students/young professional during the course to see if they might fit in their organisation.

Structure

Workshops and inhouse days at companies:

Via an application procedure students/ young professionals can sign up for a specific Master Class which will consist of a few companies together

Based on CV and grades they get selected by the participating companies to enter the course

Companies can teach additional skills via theme-work teaching
