Shared Leadership

Leadership can be explored as a social process - something that happens between people. It is not so much what leaders do, as something that arises out of social relationships. As such it does not depend on one person, but on how people act together to make sense of the situations that face them.

Leadership has been described as the process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task.

Leadership is about leaders and followers.

Leaderhip:- focus on individuals taking decisions and aligning the organization to follow decisions in order to reach strategic goals- group processes and teamwork

About the followers:Transactional leadership is effective in the case of dependent followers.

Transformative Leadership needs independent followers and independent followers won’t accept transactional leadership.

Only followers with a consciousness of inter-dependency will be able to apply shared leadership.
