A-clear goals:Team need to be very clear on the Preliminary goalsThey need to attain before they can a chive their overall objectives.

B-capable team members:

1-team member should possess sufficient technical expertise in their respective fields so that they can meaningful contributions to the group

2- team members should be good problem solvers and critical thinkers

3-embers must have good communications skills

4-they need to receive training in the team work process.

C -commitment to excellence:For a team to be truly successful members must be committed to achieving excellence in large part this commitment stems from members

D -outside recognition: Effective team need to receive management recognition these make team to feel that the work they are doing is of greater value than teams that receives no recognition

E- collaborative climate:

1-aclimate most conductive to productive team work

2- to enhance the climate members need to feel valued

3-acllaborative climate develops when members experience inter dependence

Acknowledge stages of teams development:

1-form stage:

in this stage team member become organized (identify the strength and weaknesses, define their task).

:2- norm stageThis stage involve clarifying goals (assiquing who will do what , by when I setting standards for the work

that will be produced) .

3 -work stage:The primary purpose of this stage is for the team to begin substantive work on their goals (involves gathering information to complete the task )

4 -Storm stage:since conflict is an inevitable part of team interaction , the members now begin to resolve any disagreement that may occur.

5 -perform stage:

At this point the team has completed its assiguoel

task and its ready to present the work.

1 -accountability:Team member need to be clear on their responsibilities to assure one

another that they can be counted on .

2 -trust worthiness: trust worthiness results when

members are accountable however trust is built when members open and honest with

each other .

3 -spirit of cooperation: Cooperation is generated when members are willing to be flexible , open minded ,

and able to compromise when necessary .

4- respectfulness: Respect is evidenced when members given the opportunity to voice their views and when all members are demonstrate courtesy in their interaction with fellow team members .

5 -enthusiasm:When team member approach their work with interest and enthusiasm they set in motion an energy that keeps them focused and on track

Team work tools-: 1- organize the team.

2- accept member and leader responsibilities.

3- employ a problem – solving approach.

4- communicate team progress.

Organize the team:recruiting members:

-recruitment should be voluntary. -allow workers to choose from variety

of teams being organized. -An ideal number of participants on a

team is either five or seven .

training the member: - All members need to understand the

company’s philosophy and goals

- members should be offered suggestion for maximizing their productivity within the team

-Each team needs to be given clear direction as to it’s purpose.

identifying roles :The role which each member should play

For example: One member might be assigned to record meeting minutes , another

may serve as time keeper .

selecting a meeting format:At this step the team must decide how often they will meet , when they will meet in order

to accomplish their assigned task .

determining a team assessment method:

Teams do a quick check of their performance by having members write on a three -by-five note card.

For example:Such as Staying on schedule with

their work .

accept member and leader responsibilities:

:Member responsibilities -Members need to attend

meetings regularly and be on time. For example:

When member is absent extra time may be required by other member the leader to inform the absent member about what took place during

her absence .

Members should come to meeting prepared , members should review the agenda prior to the meeting so they are familiar with the topics.

- Members need to stay involved during the course of the meeting (involvement means that members remain alert interested and eager to volunteer their ideas to the discussion).

- Members need to adhere to the meeting protocol established by the team .

Leader responsibility: -Leaders normally set meeting agendas

(What topics will be discussed and the order in which they will be discussed )

-Leaders encourage participation to do so leaders often raise questions to initiate discussion , leaders make sure that all members are given equal

opportunity to voice their ideas .

Leader keep the discussion on track : to do leaders make sure that members stick to the agenda.

Leaders clarify and summarize : during the course of discussion many different idea may be voiced a skillful leader is able to paraphrase this information.

Leaders facilitate problem solving : successful leaders are able to lead the team

through a logical , systematic sequence of steps .

Employ a problem solving approach:

-define the problem: having a clear understanding of the problem they are facing.

-analyze the problem: demands that team members explore the problem in greater depth to determine it’s sop.

-establish criteria for a solution: here the team needs to prepare a list of requirements that a solution must meet .

-consider possible solution: The step is where “brain storming “ takes place and team members are able to exercise their creativity the goal of brain storming is to generate as many solution as possible.

- select a solution : Now the team members are ready to examine

the solution in step .

-implement the solution : This step occurs only after the team has a detailed plan for putting their proposed solution into effect.

-follow up the solution : This step requires either the team or management to evaluate the success of the solution after it has been implemented.
