2) Ref. detail A5/A502 & A6,A8,A10,D6,D8,D10,G6,G8,G10/A511- 20 gage (.032 inch) aluminum flashing at head, jamb & sill with end dams of exterior louvers & storefront windows- is this part of the Sheet Metal Bid Package? Should the aluminum material be mill finish- paint by others? Or anodized finish of color as selected per 07 6200 para. 2.01B? If anodized what color? how many colors? & locations of each color?

B. Fabricator and Installer Qualifications: Company specializing in sheet metal work with 10 years of documentedexperience.
1.06 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Stack material to prevent twisting, bending, and abrasion, and to provide ventilation. Slope metal sheets to ensuredrainage.
B. Prevent contact with materials that could cause discoloration or staining.

PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.01 SHEET MATERIALS
A. Galvanized Steel: ASTM A653/A653M, with G90/Z275 zinc coating; minimum 24 gage, (0.0239 inch) thick basemetal.
B. Aluminum: ASTM B209 (ASTM B209M); 20 gage, (0.032 inch) thick; anodized finish of color as selected.
2.02 FABRICATION
A. Form sections true to shape, accurate in size, square, and free from distortion or defects.
B. Form pieces in longest possible lengths.
C. Hem exposed edges on underside 1/2 inch; miter and seam corners.
D. Form material with flat lock seams, except where otherwise indicated; at moving joints, use sealed lapped,bayonet-type or interlocking hooked seams.
E. Fabricate corners from one piece with minimum 18 inch long legs; seam for rigidity, seal with sealant.
2.03 ACCESSORIES
A. Fasteners: Galvanized steel, with soft neoprene washers.
B. Primer: Zinc chromate type.
C. Concealed Sealants: Non-curing butyl sealant.
D. Exposed Sealants: ASTM C920; elastomeric sealant, with minimum movement capability as recommended bymanufacturer for substrates to be sealed; color to match adjacent material.
E. Plastic Cement: ASTM D4586/D4586M, Type I.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Verify roof openings, curbs, pipes, sleeves, ducts, and vents through roof are solidly set, reglets in place, and nailingstrips located.
B. Verify roofing termination and base flashings are in place, sealed, and secure.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A. Secure flashings in place using concealed fasteners, and use exposed fasteners only where permitted..
B. Apply plastic cement compound between metal flashings and felt flashings.
C. Fit flashings tight in place; make corners square, surfaces true and straight in planes, and lines accurate to profiles.

Contact with students or staff while performing their job is NOT permitted. Those who do not adhere to this policy will be removed from the site and not allowed to return.Jobsite training by the District prior to entering the worksite is REQUIRED. Training is approximately 15 minutes. A sticker of completion will be issued, adhered to hard hat.
Site parking permitted in authorized areas only. Environmental spills due to auto or equipment leakage must be cleaned immediately.
Temp 6' tall fabric covered chain link fencing around all work areas will be provided. Gates are to be locked at all times.
If material is staged outdoors, it is the contractor's responsibility to secure all materials and equipment. Storage containers must be removed following completion of job.
This may or may not be a DSA project. An inspector will be provided by the District for all required inspections. All Inspections must be scheduled through the inspector a minimum of 48 hours in advance.
Inspections:
7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Work hours can be extended for work other that loud and noisy work. School instructional programs cannot be interrupted by any construction activities.
