INTRODUCTION

1. Poecilia reticulate (gatul or gupi fish) is bream,

2.phylum chordata,3.Endemic fish of Middle and South America. 4.This fish can adapt in all condition of water

even.5.This fish live freely in the ditch, moat, pool

and others water body. 

1. The gatul fish that live in the moat behind biological building, faculty of Mathematics and natural sciences, campus of State University of Malang

2. This research used the method of direct observation

3. The morphological character which observed were total length, body weight, scales color, and mouth size.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

Male :1.Male gatul fish has smaller and slim body with 2-3 cm body length (BL)2.Male’s color more beautiful than female’s 3.There are one up to three black spot which encircle by color pattern which look like peacock feather4. Black spot usually one under dorsal fin and the others in the near of anal fin.5. Male gatul fish has more longer anal fin6.The shape of male caudal fin is length with blunt back part7. The fin of female will change into gonopodium

RESULT AND DISSCUSSION

Female :1.Female’s caudal fin shaped circular wide2. Female fish has more wide mount than male fish.3. Female gatul fish has size bigger with 2-6 cm

body length (BL).4.Female gatul fish is dark grey color.5. Female gatul fish has scale with pattern like net13.Gatul fish is bearing fish

CONCLUSSION
