I ’m an industr ia l design student born in Juarez, ci ty in Mexico’s northern border , where the main economic activi ty is the industr ial product manufactur ing, a ci ty made of the mixture of races from al l over the world looking for a better l i fe qual i ty and I ’m sure they f ind it .

Mult icultural i sm and dai ly contact with product manufactur ing feed the aspects that I think about when I des ign, giving thi s human/social aspect and a versati le technique when talk ing about sustainabi l i ty , v iabi l i ty and production.

Since I was a kind I was interested in bui lding and creating using what I had around, but i t was unti l my adolescence that I real ly discovered my passion when I started working in packaging design in a local factory, in that moment I decided that , l ike my city , I wanted to give something to every one of us . Surrounded by a family o f architects and engineers my envi ronment has always pushed me to create and improve what sur rounds me.

Nowadays I ’m in the 6 t h semester of Industr ial design at Univers idad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez, I ’m 23 years old and have a part t ime job at a high precis ion machine shop as designer .

Design i s an opportunity given to us to bui ld a world that needs products that create l inks and unique experiences for the user , because actual ly product marketing has devalued this relat ionship and i s our task to reunite user and product .

ZENcity is an augmented reality system that features a HD screen and sensors to bring a natural and relaxing experience in the middle of a city. The sight tracking sensors follow the user eyes to calculate the image that should be displayed on the screen in relation to what the eyes would see in a real environment due to field depth, this technology is actually being used in cell phones to give the sense of depth in a screen. It has a high speed internet connection that allows ZENcity to display any weather or landscape in the world in real time, also the scent capsules give a much complete sense experience to the user. Now imagine that you live in a 20th floor and your view is the street, traffic and pollution in the horizon, turning ZENcity on will immediately bring you the view of a relaxing sunny day on the beach and the temperature and humidity system will recreate the sea bliss on your face, relaxing huh? This is ZENcity your window to the world, everywhere.
