Effective cushioningTheMiniISOrangeisavailablewithfixedendcushioningorwithadjustablepneumaticcushioning,controlledbysimplebleedscrewsforfineadjustment.Theadjustablecushionedcylinderscanbeoperatedwithhighermassloadsandathigherspeedsthanthosewithfixedendcushioning,reducingoverallcycletimes.
Smooth external designTherearenorecessesorpocketsintheendcoversthatcouldtrapdirtorliquid,makingcleaningsimpleandeffective.

Guide for selecting suitable tubingTheselectionofthecorrectsizeoftubingisoftenbasedonexperience,withnogreatthoughttooptimizingenergyefficiencyandcylindervelocity.Thisisusuallyacceptable,butmakingaroughcalculationcanresultinworthwhileeconomicgains.
The following is the basic principle:1.Theprimarylinetotheworkingvalvecouldbeoversized
(thisdoesnotcauseanyextraairconsumptionandconsequentlydoesnotcreateanyextracostsinoperation).
�.Thetubesbetweenthevalveandthecylindershould,however,beoptimizedaccordingtotheprinciplethataninsufficientborethrottlestheflowandthuslimitsthecylinderspeed,whileanoversizedpipecreatesadeadvolumewhichincreasestheairconsumptionandfillingtime.
Thechartbelowisintendedtohelpwhenselectingthecorrectsizeoftubetousebetweenthevalveandthecylinder.
The following prerequisites apply:Thecylinder load should be about 50%ofthetheoreticalforce(=normalload).Alowerloadgivesahighervelocityandviceversa.Thetubesizeisselectedasafunctionofthecylinder bore,thedesiredcylinder velocityandthetube lengthbetweenthevalveandthecylinder.
Ifyouwanttousethecapacityofthevalvetoitsmaximum,andobtainmaximumspeed,thetubingshouldbechosensothattheyatleastcorrespondwiththeequivalentrestrictiondiameter(seedescriptionbelow),sothatthetubingdoesnotrestrictthetotalflow.Thismeansthatashorttubingmusthaveatleasttheequivalentrestrictiondiameter.Ifthetubingislonger,chooseitfromthetablebelow.Straightfittingsshouldbechosenforhighestflowrates.(Elbowandbanjofittingscauserestriction.)
1) The“equivalentthrottlingbore“isalongthrottle(forexampleatube)oraseriesofthrottles(forexample,throughavalve)convertedtoashortthrottlewhichgivesacorrespondingflowrate.Thisshouldnotbeconfusedwiththe“orifice“whichissometimesspecifiedforvalves.Thevaluefortheorificedoesnotnormallytakeaccountofthefactthatthevalvecontainsanumberofthrottles.
