Lessons Learned
Martin CabiroFeedwater System 02/24/2011
MUR Uprate Specifications
MUR Power Uprate from current licensed core power of 1650 MWt to 1677 MWt.
Expected increase of 9 MWe on Unit 1 and Unit 2.
RCS and Safety Related Systems were not impacted by the Uprate due to only ½ Degree F change in Th and Tc values.
MUR impact solely on BOP systems only.
MUR- BOP System Impacts
Installation of Cameron Leading Edge Flow Meter (LEFM) on Unit 1 (1R25) and Unit 2 (2R25) with a power measurement uncertainty of .36%

MUR- Power Ascension Monitoring Plan
Pre and Post Monitoring put in place due to industry OE of changes in MS, FW,HD, and Extraction Steam system flow induced vibrations.
PINGP System Engineering Team (15 Engineers) generated to perform Pre and Post Monitoring.
MUR- Pre Monitoring Walk-down
Visual walk-downs performed in Turbine Building and Aux Building.
Target of walk-downs:– Identify existing pre Uprate system vibrations,
oscillations in FW heaters, unusual piping configurations, audible and visual indications of flashing in pipes or tanks, and support or hanger positions.
MUR- Pre Monitoring Walk-down Findings
Examples of Pre Walk-down findings:
