What’s new in

TRISCO version

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

New performances summary

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

Superposition allows to minimise the Blocks input. To define the external corner junction above using superposition only 6 blocks are required. However, for a correct cavity equivalent thermal conductivity, 2 cavity colours are required.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

Use > Arrange Blocks > Use juxtaposition

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

Now 11 blocks describe the object. The appropriate colour for the second cavity is now applied.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

Use > Arrange Blocks > Use superpositionto return to a minimised number of blocks.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

Using juxtaposition (left image) 43 block definitions are required.Using superposition (right image) only 15 block definitions are required. The window was modeled starting from a 2D section, applying therevolve and transformation functions. This results in a lot of blocks in juxtaposition. At the end of the 3D modeling the superposition arrangement is applied to minimise the number of blocks.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

The roof junction is clipped from the total object. The data are reduced to the clip (and saved under a new name),ready for the roof junction analysis.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

3D junctions are composed of multiple 2D junctions for which the linear thermal transmittance (-value) needs to be calculated. The example above shows the conventions- external dimension system (left)- internal dimension system (right).

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

The 3D junction is clipped 3 times, once for each 2D junction.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

The 3D junction is clipped 3 times, once for each 2D junction.Above the clipping for one of both vertical sections is shown.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

For each 2D junction the -value is derived.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

From the 3D simulation and the 3 -values the point thermal transmittance or -value can be derived.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

All colours, except colour 11 (stainless steel) are clipped. The data are reduced to the clip (and saved under a new name).

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

The clipped object can be used for input into other TRISCO data(Menu Blocks > Insert File).

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

In the 3D model above some void space occurs. In the simulation void space is considered as adiabatic (perfect insulation) and therefore a false result will be obtained.

Physibel TRISCO version 13w

Void space can be detected and converted into blocks !
