Scholarship
Here at Phi Kappa Theta, we strive to make sure our members
academically excel. We believe that academics should take rst priority; ae
all, it is the reason we are at Iowa State. One of the greatest tools we have is
the requirement of a weekly study session for both freshmen and other
members who do not meet the GPA requirement. Older members are also ve
eager to help others with the classes they are in as well. There is also the
opportunity for free tutoring for all members, as well as a reducon in house
fees for those students who achieve a 3.0 GPA or higher. These study progra
help ensure that all Phi Kaps remain in top academic standing.
Leadership
Phi Kappa Theta oers support for a wide variety of leadership
opportunies. You can lead members of the house, members of our Greek
Week and Homecoming pairings, or even all fraternies through the
Interfraternity Council. A leadership posion in the house is a great step into
the many leadership posions available at Iowa State. Annually, members ar
invited to aend naonal Phi Kap leadership retreats to help further your
leadership potenal. From house manager to social chairman, you will
denitely nd a posion that will suit you and help you develop as a leader.
Social
As a member of Phi Kappa Theta, you won’t just make friends with p
ple in our fraternity, but also all around the Greek community and Iowa State
During both Homecoming and Greek Week, the chapter will be paired with asorority and a fraternity to compete in events such as the Greek Olympics an
Yell Like Hell, during which you will meet many new people. The Social Chair-
man will also set up special events such as dinners and formal dances. Wheth
it’s having dinner with the volleyball team, vising another Phi Kap chapter, o
winning tug-of -war for Homecoming, you are bound to meet new people.

Financial Obligaons
One great thing about Phi Kappa Theta is that living here can be signicantly
ess expensive than the dorms! Living in the house costs around 3400 dollars per
semester, which includes food, internet, cable, and ulies. We also oer house bill
discounts based on your GPA! The dorms, including food, can cost students close to
4000 dollars a semester. So not only is Phi Kappa Theta a fun place to be, but it can
save you a lot of money as well.
3 Styles of Living
Phi Kappa Theta oers three dierent housing opons. We have the
tradional, fully furnished, dorm-style two-person rooms, in which new members
will room with an older member which allows for beer study habits, more social
opportunies, and a greater knowledge of the Iowa State campus. We also have
non-insulated sleeping rooms, a large room with only bunks, allowing for a quiet
environment for sleeping. Finally, we own the apartment complex on our property
which many older members choose to live in as they near the end of their college
career. This allows the chance to live outside the house while sll enjoying
everything the house has to oer.
Even aer graduaon, you will sll be
a brother for life.
