Yury Borzakovsky is a Russian track and field athlete, an Olympic Champion in 2004, a world champion and three-times European champion.
He is one of the six Olympic champions from Russia in the men's track and field and the single in cross country disciplines.
He has an order of Friendship – for outstanding contribution to the development of physical cultureand sports, high athletic achievementsat the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.
At the age of 19, Yuri took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, where he performed in the final race, but finished only the sixth. His greatest success was his Olympic medal at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, he became an Olympic champion.
