CounterpointCounterpoint a contrasting or interacting element, theme. This book is a selected works from the last five years that I been studying at Academy of art University in San Francisco. I believe there are at least two sides for everything, every story has a teller and a listener without one there won’t be a communication and that is what I love about Graphic Design.

Intersection of ColorDes ign Br ie f We’re conditioned to notice color. It’s one of the first things we notice on

signs or materials. The way we view those colors psychologically triggers how we feel and think. They even influence us to react to them even on the road such as traffic lights, why most people perceived red as to stop and green means go? Is there a reason behind it? Who get to called it?

the categories called red, green,

from the spectrum of light (dis-

tribution of light energy versus

wavelength) interacting in the

eye with the spectral sensitivi-

their physical properties such

Because perception of color stems from

the varying sensitivity of different types

of cone cells in the retina to different

parts of the spectrum, colors may be

defined and quantified by the degree to

which they stimulate these cells. These

physical or physiological quantifications

of color, however, do not fully explain

the psychophysical perception of color

Spectrum® Multi-Use paper is

designed for copying and print-

ing in a wide variety of imaging

devices. This bright white paper

is a great all-around performer

- ideal for everyday communi-

cations that include black &

white text and graphics. You

can expect virtually jam-free

performance in copiers, laser

and multi-function printers, as

well as high-volume printing

equipment. For quality, consis-

tency and reliable day-to-day

run performance, Spectrum®

Multi-Use is a solid choice.

+174Des ign Br ie f Energy has always become a big part of our daily life and we all need it.

Now, we are concerning that it’ll run out sooner than we thought. Do you know that the Sun produces energy that can last for a year? But if we can find a way to store it properly, we might have energy to use for the next 10 years. We can start now, from everyday activity there’s always a way to help saving the energy and our planet.

Camper La PielDes ign Br ie f Company that have nothing to do with skincare and use their selling point

to turn into a skincare product line. I picked Camper, a shoes company from Spain that has a simple, fun, and quirky design with a twist. La Piel means skin in Spanish so I introduced that as their sub-brand for skincare products while still hold onto the core of concept the brand.

InceptionDes ign Br ie f Choose a movie and design a poster for that particular movie. I picked

Inception and use three strings to represent how human brains work therefore each string has its own color that represents for something. For human, reality is black while dream is white and in a dream there is an inception which is yellow. And is is what I got out of this movie.

JCPDes ign Br ie f Given JCpenny a new life, brought them back up-to-date. This is a group

project by Alvin Domingo, Dee Shin, Liscelyn Grifal, Siti, and myself. We believed in the brand itself and tried use the concept of what the brand was set to be in the first place. We’re just tweaking it in a brighter and more fun with a new point of view to the company as well as adding a private label to build a stronger brand.

USPostDes ign Br ie f USPS is the biggest mailing company out of all the carrier companies.

They work 6 days a week but most of the people didn’t realize that. Maybe because that’s the way they are trying to differentiate themselves. This is where the new identity came in and face lifted the company image in order to be better where it is supposed to be, by using brighter yet simple symbol to make it easier for everyday. your future delivery.

Black LipsDes ign Br ie f Rock and Roll, where it used to be late night, small bar, Jack on the

rocks, moss pit, and people getting drunk. It is a music that reminds you of good times when you’re spending a night out with your friends getting shit face and blacking out on the street. Black Lips is a good representative of all of the above. Life is short live it, burn it, enjoy it, and take care of your love ones it’s 2012 after all. Lights out!!

THE LIPS

IAN SAINT PÉ JOE BRADLEY

YEAH, I MOONED THE CROWD AND MADE OUT WITH IAN AND THEN I PLAYED THE GUITAR WITH MY DICK AND ROLLED AROUND. I’D ORIGINALLY WRITTEN IN THE STATEMENT TO OUR LABEL THAT IT WAS INDECENT EXPOSURE WE WERE GETTING IN TROUBLE FOR. BUT FROM WHAT I’M START-ING TO UNDERSTAND, IT WAS THE KISSING WITH IAN THAT WAS REALLY NOT COOL.

LogosDes ign Br ie f We’re conditioned to notice color. It’s one of the first things we notice on

signs or materials. The way we view those colors psychologically triggers how we feel and think. They even influence us to react to them on the road. Why most people rerate to red to stop? and green to go? Is there a reason behide it? or its just the way we been program?
