Mueller Introduces Klenz Composition At Viola Recital

Julia Mueller, viol ist s member of the Music Se sfaculty, appeared in a re, sponsored by thc Department oi Asthetics, Arts, and Music. Tues­day night in the East Duks building. Mildred L. Hendrix, pianist, and William Klenz, 'cellist, a c c o m p a n i e d Mrs. Mueller.

Included in the program was "Sonata 1948," for viola and 'cello. This was the first pub-lie performance of the sonata written by Klenz, now a mem­ber of Duke's Music Faculty. Also presented were five selec­tions by the seventeenth cen­tury composer, Henry Purcell, ai well as "Sonata in F Minor," b> Brahms; "Adante," by Delius "Romance," by Richard Strauss; and "Scherzo," by Rebecca Clarke.
