It is possible to calculate the cost of multiple
offenses.
It is also possible to change the unit measured
to calculate the cost of fewer arrests,
convictions, inmates, parolees, or probationers.

Oregon decided to continue to fund drug courts, in part because of the vast amount of research on effectiveness of drug courts.
