Before starting assembly:Writing the number of each section on its back side before cutting out the sections is highly recommended. (* This way, you can be sure which section is which even after cutting out the sections.)
Emergency Crew Return Vehicle
*Hint: Trace along the folds with a ruler and an exhausted pen (no ink) to get a sharper, easier fold.
Parts list(pattern):Five A4 sheets(No.5 to No.9)No. of Parts:13
*Build the model by carefully reading the Assembly Instructions, in the parts sheet page order.
The Emergency Crew Return Vehicle is used to give the crew a means to escape from a spacecraft in the event of an accident during the launch or ascent, or in the event of incidents like fires aboard the space station. The vehicle is designed so that the fuselage itself floats and is navigated using a large parafoil until it touches down. In addition to the current type, which relies on the force of wind, new types like the Clipper (an emergency return vehicle equipped with an engine that does not use a parafoil) are being developed in Russia. While costly, these new models can be precisely navigated using an engine.
