safety for 21 years and has helped over 100

companies in their safety system procedures. He

also speaks to associations, trade shows,

conventions and clients yearly assisting in and

improving their safety performance.

This 10-Hour Roadway Safety workshop provides

an overview of 11 key construction work zone

related safety and health topics. Upon completion

of this course, participants will be able to recognize

and take corrective action to address the following

issues and hazards:

1. Understanding OSHA

2. Roadway Work Zones

3. Personal Protective Equipment

4. High Visibility Clothing

5. Night Work

6. Mechanized Equipment

7. Electrical Safety

8. Excavations & Trenching

9. Confined Space

10. Fall Prevention & Protection

11. Occupational Health & Environmental Controls

Class Running Time

Day 1

7:30 am - 8:00 am: Registration

8:00 am: Workshop Begins

10:00 am- 10:15 am: Break

10:15 am- 12:15 pm: Workshop continues

12:15 pm - 1:00 pm: Lunch (provided by VLR)

1: 00 pm - 3:00 pm: Workshop Ends
