History:•Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius •Born on November 22, 1986 at Johansberg• Disease- Congenital absence of fibula• Lives in South Africa• Coached by Ampie Louw• Bachelor of Commerce in business management with sports science at the University of Pretoria

• After consulting 11 amputation specialists his parents decided to have his limbs amputated below the knee• At the age of 11 months• Now races with carbon fiber artificial legs which has led to the nickname ‘Blade Runner’• As a child, he announced to his father that one day he would play in the Super 8 rugby event, a sign of the ambition and determination that would characterize his future approach to life• The bad listener
