There will be a special business meeting following evening worship tonight. The church will vote on the Personnel Committee’s recommendation that

FBC call a full time Minister to Children.

Dr. George D. Berger, a former pastor of FBC Sumrall, will be honored

at a retirement reception on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 2:00-3:30 at

the 38th Avenue Baptist Church. If you are interested in

attending please call the church office for more information.

It’s time to register for upward! Early registration cost

per child for basketball is $75(includes shorts). After No-

vember 14th, the cost is $85. Evaluations are December

1, 2, & 4th. Practice will begin January 12th and the

Awards Celebration will be March 3rd. **Many volun-

teers are needed in order to minister to all the children

that sign up for upward. No experience is necessary, all

teaching material is furnished for coaches.

The Lamar Baptist Association Food Pantry is in desperate need of the fol-

lowing items, boxes are near the church entrances. All donations are greatly

appreciated!

Oatmeal Canned Meats Our church is helping Lamar Baptist Association doing a limited auto check and

car wash for residents at Regency Apartments on October 25. We need a few

adult and youth to help us with this ministry project. We will meet at our church

at 8:30 am then go to Regency from 9:00 to 11:00. Please sign up in the foyer.

There will be a church council meeting tomorrow night at 6:30 in the Youth Room.

The last G.R.O.W. visitation for this year will be October 27. G.R.O.W.

will resume in March 2015.
