Creating a Share

Create a folder on your desktop called class, right click on the folder,

and then choose the sharing tab

Set sharing permissions for the class folder

Moving a Share

Trying to create a second share with the same name gives an error

message

Moving or renaming a share will no longer be available to share and will

need to be reset

Summary

Sharing folders and other resource is one of the main reasons to have a network

To give access to resources, simply give users or groups permissions

Some shares may be hidden by appending the ($) to the share name

Shares are available in peer-to-peer or client/server networks

To be a member of a client/server you must join the computer to the domain
