WORDPRESS Installation

XAMPP

Xampp = Apache + MySQL + PHP + Perl

For Windows, Mac OS X & Linux

Install XAMPP

Run the downloaded xampp.exe file and wait until installation completes

XAMPP Setting

In your Browser visit localhost/xampp/

Select language => English

And you’re ready to go.

Back to WORDPRESS InstallationWe are going to use Xampp

Copy the zip file of wordpress and paste it to your local server c:/xampp/htdocs/

Extract the file and rename it as per your project name.

In your wordpress project folder rename wp-config-sample as wp-config .

Visit localhost/[your-project-name]/In Your Browser

Visit localhost/phpmyadmin/ in your browser

Database “database name” been created

Well that’s not enough

Open the file renamed before i.e wp-config in any text editor.

Configure Wordpress

Your database name

Change to ‘root’

Leave blank

Now visit localhost/[your-project-name] in your browser.

Choose a Wordpress Theme FirstBut Before Writing first post in wordpress

On Your Left Sidebar Hover over Appearance and click on Theme

For Wordpress version 3.8 or later “Twenty Fourteen” theme is activated by default.

On your top-left corner click over your site title.
