One day, as Chicken Licken was going to the wood… WHACK! An acorn fell from a tree and hit him on the head!

“Gracious goodness me!” said Chicken Licken. “The sky must have fallen; I must go and tell the King!”

Chicken Licken set off and soon bumped into Henny Penny.

He asked her where she was going and she said, “I’m going to the wood.” Chicken Licken begged Henny Penny to not go. “I was going and

the sky fell onto my head and I’m going to tell the King!” he said.

Chicken Licken and Henny Penny turned back and met Cocky Locky and asked him where he was going. He said, “I’m going to the wood.” Henny

Penny begged for Cocky Locky to not go, so they all turned back.

Chicken Licken, Henny Penny, and Cocky Locky met Ducky Lucky and asked her where she was going. “I’m going to the wood,” she said. Cocky

Locky begged for Ducky Lucky to stay and she did.

Chicken Licken, Henny Penny, Cocky Locky and Ducky Lucky met Drakey Lakey and asked him where he was going. “I’m going to the

wood,” he said. Ducky Lucky begged for Drakey Lakey to stay and he did.

Chicken Licken, Henny Penny, Cocky Locky, Ducky Lucky and Drakey Lakey met Goosey Loosey and asked her where she was going. “I’m

going to the wood,” she said. Drakey Lakey begged for her to stay and she did.

Chicken Licken, Henny Penny, Cocky Locky, Ducky Lucky, Drakey Lakey and Goosey Loosey met Turkey Lurkey and asked him where he was

going. “I’m going to the wood,” he said. Goosey Loosey begged for him to not go, so he stayed.

So Turkey Lurkey turned back and walked with Goosey Loosey, Drakey Lakey, Ducky Lucky, Cocky Locky, Henny Penny and Chicken Licken. As

they were going along, they met Foxy Loxy.

Foxy Loxy asked them all where they were all going and they said, “Chicken Licken went into the wood and the sky fell onto his head and

we were on our way to tell the King.”

Foxy Loxy said, “Come along with me, and I will show you the way.”

So Foxy Loxy took them into the fox’s hole and he and his young ones soon ate up poor Chicken Licken, Henny Penny, Cocky Locky, Drakey

Lakey, Goosey Loosey and Turkey Lurkey; and they never saw the King to tell him that the sky had fallen.
