On the map of EuropeSlovakia looks like a smalldot.

But this small dot has its own rich history,traditions and many natural beauties.

Today Slovaks are descendants to western tribes, that starts to appear on current land of Slovakia on the beginning of the 6th century. Since 568 these tribes were under the power of Nomand Avarians and in 7th century they became a part of Same Rise. In the year 791 Carl the Great defeated the Avarians and dispersed Slovakian tribes formed Moravian and Nitra county. After 833 both counties were merged together and created Great Moravian Empire.

Great Moravian empire was a state in western Slovakia, which existed between 833 and the beginning of the 10th century (approximately 907). Its was located at today Morava and Slovakia

Uhorsko (lat. Hungaria/Vngaria, ger. Ungarn/Hungarn, hun. Magyarország, croat. and serb. Ugarska, rom. Ungaria) or State of Hungary was located in Karpatian valley since 10th century until 1918. Part of which was Slovak Republic.

Slovakia is among the countries with the largest number of castles in Europe. There are 425 mansions and 180 manors and castles, together with the castle ruins.

There is 1626 healing springs with different chemical composition in Slovakia

Kremnica became a town in the year 1328

Since the year 900 Kremnica was known for its gold resources. In that time gold was obtained with panning

The gold mining stopped in 1971

School for the hearing impaired was founded in 1903 in Kremnica

The education was in Hungarian language for 24hours per week

In 1905 the founder and director Koloman Hercsuth left Kremnicu and went to Bratislava, where he established the Bratislava institute for the hearing impaired and became its director.

In the 1906 the institute was officially linked to the ministry of the culture and religion.

On 6th of May 1906 the city council decided to build a modern institute for the hearing impaired

In 1913 the construction was built. It should be build according to the newest pedagogic standards.

In 1918-1919 was the motto: To create, to build and to hope

In 1920-1921 the education was done in Slovak language

In the year 1932/1933 Viliam Gano became the new principal, who was the soul of the institute. He cared for the all-round development of pupils, in the areas of culture, sports, and proffesional, but mostly he focused to the speech

During the war, building was used as a field hospital.

After the 2nd world war there was 230 students in the institute

In the years 1948-1954 the institute is expanding, there are lectures and conferences about the education methodology and phonetic. In 1950/1951 there was a new method of teaching – move method. There were exchange programs with other schools, mainly Czech schools.

The school is now educating not only the hearing impaired , but also the multi-disabledRaising and

educating children since they are 3 years old

During the educations is used the most modern technology

Miloš – always brings some award from the natural-history competitionHe plays football, ski, cycle and he is also a good athlete

Daniel – competes a chemistry field, he doesn’t ski, but he likes athletics.

Kvetka – likes chemistry, she won the 1st place in a nation-wide competition- Plays in theatre, sports and matematics too

Majka – likes the theatre, dance- This year is attending the competitions in chemistry and mathematicsJanka – is an excellent dancer and acrtress

-Miroslava Vetráková – teaches mathematics, chemistry and technology

- Krastína Brnčová – prospector - Rudolf Bartošík – teaches ethics,

mathematics, physics and gymnastics Not only they teach but they also care

about our good behavior and fun – pupils speaking
