Currently, there are 73 students and 22 staff members participating in the Reading Games. So far, they have read 484 titles. Students or staff/teachers - if you would like to join the games, just email Susan Myers at srmyers@spart7.org .
New E Books
In case you missed the news, we added 2,834 titles to Overdrive courtesy of the Gutenberg project. Overall, there are 3075 books and 53 audio books available through Overdrive.
Little/PBL/Parody Lesson
Mrs. Little’s students worked on a project based lesson in which the task was to create a parody of an event in constitutional history. Mrs. Layne taught the students how to download music using Freegle (a service from the public library) and how to incorporate that into an iMovie.
Research - Topic of Choice
Mrs. Potter and Mrs. Hayes brought classes down to learn how to use physical and electronic resources for a topic of choice research project. Students walked through using the SHS catalog and how to filter and narrow searches in DISCUS databases.
