On the cover: As Advocates for Hope volunteers for Gift of Hope, Vivian and LarryLefferts honor the memory of their son, John, who has touched the lives of nearly
40 people as a tissue donor since his death in 2004. Their daughter, Eleanor Hess, and her husband, Ray, support them on their journey of the heart to honor John
and encourage people to register as organ and tissue donors.
