U12 Hurling Our lads played a number of games over the last few weeks. In the P2 hurling league we travelled to Cobh and won a great game, we were unlucky to lose to Kilta Og in Brinny having matched them throughout most of the game and despite leading Blackrock at half time, conceded a number of goals in the second half to lose out in Church Road.
U12 Football In the P1 football league following a hard fought game against Carrigaline in Brinny we were ultimately defeated by a single point. We have a few games to play before the summer break and know our lads will continue to give their best every time they put on the jersey. Training will continue from 6 to 7.30pm every Tuesday evening in Brinny throughout the summer. U12 panel: Seanie Crowe, Matthew Kelleher, Harry O’Sullivan, Anthony Slattery, Luke Carney, Niall Daly, Sam Browne, Billy Curtin, Oisin McCarthy, Luke Casey, Neil Hennessy, Liam Dineen, Matthew Hoban, Luke Humphreys, Alex Hurley, Roan Gilli, Samuel Lenihan, Billy Cronin, Gary Cremin, Liam Platt, Ben Keane, Shane O’Connell, Sean T. U14 Hurling
Our U14’s hurlers travelled to Glanmire to take on Sarsfields recently in the P2 hurling league. This was a very tight game throughout but the Valleys always managed to keep ahead on the scoreboard recording a 4-14 to 4-9 victory after a great hour of hurling.
U14 Football In football our P2A team travelled to Fermoy but never managed to reach the levels they are capable of and were defeated 5-7 to 3-3. While in the C3 football our lads recorded a good win over Carrigaline. Thanks to the U13’s who have come along and participated in our games over the last few weeks. U14 panel; Adam Casey, Aaron White, Brian Lordan, Cian Johnson, Conor Hoban, Charlie O’Sullivan, David Hurley, Dylan O’Driscoll, Donnacha Galgey, Evan O’Shea, Evan Hennessy, Fiachra Murphy, James O’Sullivan, Joshua Murphy, Jonathan O’Leary, John Neary, Jason Kelleher, Jerry O’Connor, Jack LeStrange, Joey Lynch, Liam Egan, Max Healy, Patrick Horgan, Sean Kiely, Zak Sharpless.

U10 Hurling
Valley Rovers U10 boys travelled to Timoleague last
Saturday morning to take on Argideen Rovers in a league
game. Two Rovers teams lined out with both hurling
match's won, one very hard fought. The lads made us
proud through their great perseverance and fight.
This team plays their next football game against
Kilbrittain next Saturday morning in the bleach @ 11am

U9 Hurling
On Saturday afternoon last our U9 boys played Kinsale in hurling. With the bleach pitch freshly cut by Kevin Canty just before the match and add in the sunshine it was a beautiful venue especially being the boys first time playing a match there. Three teams lined out from both clubs and played 2 25 min halves. The confidence, skills and aggression levels of the boys are really growing with the hurling. Stand out performers were Daniel Davidson who just took up hurling in the last 3 months, the Hennessy brothers, Charlie Kelleher Barry, Patrick Barry and Sean Platt who banged in a number of goals. Fine wins were achieved in all 3 matches with the boys having a bit of energy left for a penalty taking challenge after the hurling. The next game for this team is on Thursday when they take on Ballincollig in hurling.
SE Junior A Hurling League Result: Valley Rovers 3 – 18 to shamrocks 0-10
