The Northfleet Slipway

Some of the finds from the slipway. The iron balls were used in the milling of chalk for concrete.
Working on the 3x1m trial trench looking for evidence of the pub.
We did find one piece of datable evidence, a clay pipe bowl!
Our trench at the end of the day.; it was hard work digging through sticky clay!
