George Delisle awards the Irving Talberth Award

to Berlin Kiwanis Club Secretary Paul Lafleur at

the District Convention in Hyannis Mass.

PRESIDENT PODIUM: President Roland O. opened the

last meeting in August with the Pledge by Tim B. Prayer by Roland

O. And song by Bob L. Fine collector for the evening was Dan B.

Guest for the evening were Denise, Joan, and James. Welcome

guest.

COMMITTEES: Golf Tournament is coming along. We are

still looking for sponsors and most of all golfers. Anyone knows

golfers that may be interesting in playing in our tournament let

Annual Golf Tournament

September 9, 2017

President Roland know. Members stuffed envelopes this evening

to be sent out to members of the AVCC. Roland explained changes

that will be made in this year tournament. Final organization of

the tournament will be completed next Tuesday. All members

please make an effort to attend and help out with one of our largest

fundraiser. Members are asked to arrive at AVCC for 7:15 on

Saturday Sept. 9th. We are also looking for raffle gifts. Notify Ro-

land O. if you have a gift for the raffle.

OTHER HAPPENINGS: Happy Dollars for the evening

were Janet R., Paul L., John L., Tim B. Jerry D., Glen T., Joan P.,

Roland O., Bob D., Cassandra J., Paul F., and Dan B.

Fines are always in order and Bob L. tried to fine Sect. Paul for

getting taking some of his money out of the cash to make change.

Not passed. Tim B., had automatic fine for picture in paper.

President Roland read a letter from Bill Rutherford of scout

troop 219 thanking us for their stay at Camp Sawyer. The troop

repaired our flag line and cut some wood for the fireplace.

President Roland spoke to the membership on what went on at

the convention. He mentioned our new Governor for the District

will be Daniel Bennett, and the Governor Elect will be Elyse

Denorfia. He mention that Secretary George Delisle will be a Can-

didate for Kiwanis International Trustee, to be voted on at Next

year’s International Convention in Las Vegas. President Roland

also spoke on the I Plan and where our Club should go.

Secretary Paul L. spoke on the Irving Talberth award, and

thanked President Roland O. and Lt. Gov. Lindy Falconer for rec-

ommending him for this award. Sect. also announced that we re-

ceived ribbons for public relations and early bird interclub

Glenn T. read a letter of thanks from Courtney Dumont one of

our scholarship winners.

SECRETARY: Cooking schedule for the coming year. (see

attached page 4.) On Sept. 5 we will be served by TEAM 1 Chefs

Paul F., Ed B., and Mike B.

DUES ARE DUE.

All members dues are due. If you were not at the Tuesday meet-

ing, your dues are in the mail. Dues are due no later than October

1st.
