• What is leadership?

Academic Resume- What have you taken in school, clubs , activities, awards and COMMUNITY SERVICE

CELEBRATING YOU

Every one of you going to need something in the next 8 months from a parent, grandparent, teacher, or administrator, etc. How are you going to lay the foundation to have your needs met?

FOUNDATION

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

Teachers, coaches, counselors, will NEVER write things for you or about you that are not true. Their integrity is on the line. In other words, make sure they have the good stuff to talk about.

THE WHITE GOWN –SENIORS CHOOSE

What does “talk’s cheap” mean?

Follow through, do what you say you will do. This is called credibility.

Finish for you. This is pride.

Ask for help. This is strength, not weakness.

Communicate with people you need. This will be a life skill.

Don’t burn bridges. You might need the bridge to make the journey.

Come to school. Duh!

ADVICE FOR STUDENTS

ADVICE FOR PARENTS

• Stay involved. Don’t take “I don’t know” or “nothin’” as a response

• Communicate with Ms Maxey• Ask lots of questions.• Ask to see their work• Spend time on the website and

on skyward.
