10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister?

Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will

all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written:

“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,

‘every knee will bow before me;

every tongue will acknowledge God.’”

12 So then, each of us will give an account of

ourselves to God.13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one

another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any

stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or

sister.

to participate in your saving action in the

world. May the gifts we offer now be a

pledge of our willingness to share the work of Christ.AMEN.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE:

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name,

thy kingdom come, thy will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our tresspasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,

for ever and ever. Amen.

General Confession

Saving God, we confess that we often fail to

remember and recount the history of your

saving action on our behalf in the past, and

so in present darkness our faith is

weakened. By failing to paint hope with the

brush of memory, we lose sight of the

images of deliverance which are our heritage.

General Confession

There are dangerous waters within, among

and around us and we are tempted to fear

and forget you are still here and able to deliver. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

We thank you, God, for the assurances that

your purposes will be fulfilled in your

creation. We rejoice, that it is in your plan

for us to participate in your saving work.

May we always trust your power made

operative through our obedience. Amen
