Emotional bond Knowledge

The trail provides information about a central theme, to which all phenomenons and activities along the trail are related.

This also means that local objects (waterfall, old mill, etc.) are presented in connection with global issues (e.g. Climatechange, water resources).

The signs or stations are integrated into the landscape by sensitive design. Eyecatchers motivate the visitors to become interested in the provided information.

Complex contents are depicted clearly by means of texts and graphics. The information is given in form of levels of profoundness (e.g.: title, subtitle, abstract, detailed text).

Furthermore, a successful nature trail contains interestingly prepared information, gives instructions to experience nature with all senses, and is action-oriented.

If a nature trail succeeds in all the aspects mentioned above, it is an extremely valuable tool for ESD, but also enhances the attractivity of a region for tourists and encourages the regional identification of the locals.
