It was discussed that chapter see this opportunity as corpus building exercise. National Conference to be hosted by the National Body and co-hosted by NHRDN Chapter. National Conference can not remain as floating Chapter property. Content part of the Conference, theme, sub-theme should be owned by National Body. NHRDN Chapter to provide logistic
support. A balanced team of National and Chapter will be a good idea. Board agreed that National Conference will be the National
property. Besides National Conference, we may also consider to organize 4 Regional Conferences so as to ensure participation from
across India. DG shared that that there is MOU signed after the experience of Hyderabad Chapter & Kolkata Chapter in recent years & now there is a joint a/c in the name of the National Conference implemented from this year. g) Young Minds Advisory Board – The feedback of the last Board Meeting was incorporated in the terms of reference. The
allocation to the Board Committees have been done. It was discussed to nominate one member for the Governance Committee.
It was discussed that the Regional Presidents should interact with the NHRDN Chapters and hold interaction with the Members. The role of Regional Presidents is critical so that the link between National Body and Chapters is further strengthened and we also ensure that there is no areas which put National Body in any Governance issues.
It was felt that branding and communication needs to be allocated to a specific Committee. The issue of conflict of interest was raised. The Board agreed that any such conflict should be brought up to the Board and the persons having conflict of interest should abstain from any decision making. It was agreed to hold a meeting around 15th December, 2015 specially to discuss issue of hosting of next National Conference & the Financial position of the body.
