– began in 2000, women's organization focused on women's rights, gender equality, equal position of mothers in the society and prevention of social isolation of mothers on maternity leave
Mother's center MYMAMY ('WEMOTHERS') (2000 – 2007):
•Creation of an open and friendly environment for families and children•Help with problem solving in families Providing informal education in the field of child care and formation •Parent role support•Elimination of social isolation of families with young children

Crisis Center MYMAMY (2003 – present):
• Providing counselling to women – victims of domestic violence• Counselling services by a multidisciplinary expert team: psychologist, lawyer, social workers, crisis counsellor• Crisis line operation• Providing temporary accommodation (since 2008)• Cooperation with relevant subjects (local governments, police, legal authorities, healthcare personnel, state social offices, etc.)•prevention – secondary schools•awareness campaing – general public

Representative Research on Violence against Women:
2003 – carried out by the International Centre of the Family Study
2008 – the Representative Research into Violence against Women (VAW) in Slovakia - implemented by the Institute of Labor and Family Research
2008 RESEARCH
a representative sample of 827 women at the age from 18 to 65 years
21% of the questioned women have had experience with combined violence from their current partner.
Final Comment
The research has proved:
the need of providing information about available services to the public
the fact that women in rural area need special approach and more support.
