MOTHERHOODTAKES FAITH!

A mom whose childhad great promise

Mrs Manoah had greatinsight and faith.

Judges 13:22-23 and he said to his wife, “We will certainly die, for we have seen God!” But his wife said, “If the Lord were going to kill us, he wouldn’t have accepted our burnt offering and grain offering. He wouldn’t have appeared to us and told us this wonderful thing and done these miracles.”

Judges 14:1-3 One day when Samson was in Timnah, one of the Philistine women caught his eye. When he returned home, he told his father and mother, “A young Philistine woman in Timnah

caught my eye. I want to marry her. Get her for me.”

His father and mother objected. “Isn’t there even one woman in our tribe or among all the Israelites you could marry?” they asked. “Why must you go to the pagan Philistines to find a wife?” But

Samson told his father, “Get her for me! She looks good to me.”

She felt great joy.

Judges 13:24-25 When her son was born, she named him Samson. And the Lord blessed him as he grew up. And the Spirit of the Lord began to stir him ...

She felt great disappointment.

Proverbs 10:1 The proverbs of Solomon: A wise child brings joy to a father; a foolish child brings grief to a mother.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

1 Corinthians 7:39 A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.

A Mom Whose Child wasDevoted to God

1 Samuel 1:27-28 “I asked the Lord to give me this boy, and he has granted my request. Now I am giving him to the Lord, and he will belong to the Lord his whole life.”...

1 Samuel 2:11 Then Elkanah went home to Ramah. And the boy ministered to the Lord in the presence of Eli the priest.

1 Samuel 2:18-21 But Samuel was ministering before the Lord—a boy wearing a linen ephod. Each year his mother made him a little robe and took it to him when she went up with her

husband to offer the annual sacrifice.

Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, “May the Lord give you children by this woman to take the place of the one she prayed for and gave to the Lord.” Then they would

go home.

And the Lord was gracious to Hannah; she conceived and gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile, the boy Samuel grew up in the presence of the Lord.

2 Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His…”

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Only God can make good things happen in another’s life.

Psalm 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.
