• Students were asked to draw based on the question provided.

• What does a cell look like?• What is its shape and size?• Is it soft or hard?• What is inside the cell?

What does a cell look like? “It is 2-D circle” “It (plant cell) is flat”. used adjectives like “rectangular”, “circular” and “oval”. the cell isround.

Is it soft or hard? “The cells under ourskin are soft”.

What is inside the cell? “The cells protect us from hurting the bones”Drew an outline of a hand filled with cells.

CLASS DISCUSSION

• Done after the drawing method.• The students were asked about the shape of cell

and its thickness.• The thickness is shown by using papers and

pancakes.

3D MODELS

• The students were exposed to the concept of cells as a 3D object.

• Then they were asked to make a cell model.• While they make the model, the teaching

continue and its influence the shape of their models.
