ANTHRACINUM

Indescribable pains. As if smoke, heat, is going through the

head. Symmetrical hemorrhages in brain.

APIUM GRAVEOLENS

Pain amel. eating. Throbbing agg. motion, left; amel. rest.

ARGENTUM METALLICUM

Sudden vertigo. - Cloudy sensation, as from smoke in the

brain. - Neuralgic pain.

ARSENICUM ALBUM

HOT HEAD WITH COLD BODY. - Headache: Congestive, burning;

periodical; alt. with arthritis, stomach pain; amel. cold applications.

Headache after eating ice-cream (Puls.).

BELLADONNA

- Pain: PULSATING, throbbing, hammering MADDENING (Gels) cold feet during headache agg. RIGHT SIDE agg. amel. Uncovering, pressure, lying in dark. Increases and decreases with the sun, even

without exposure. Instead of menses. - Sensation as if brain is expanding, skull is too

Specific Remedies

SPIGELIA ANTHELMIA

Pain occurs periodically of tearing, digging or boring character. Semilateral headache, involving generally on the left side, but occasionally on the right side. Pain beneath frontal eminence and temples, extending to the eyes. Pain worse by movement and noise.

SANGUINARIA

Pain commences in the occiput, spreads over the head and settles over the right eye. It is sharp, lancinating, and at times throbbing. As the height of the attack is reached the patient cannot bear neither sounds or odors, and nausea and vomiting appear. He selects a quiet, darkened room and remains quiet.

PARIS QUADRIFOLIA

As from pulling a string from eyes to occiput; numbness; loquacity

MENYANTHES

Pressing, cramp-like pains in vertex amel. by strong pressure.

PRUNUS SPINOSA

A Study No. of patients: 53 patients Method: Patients were asked to complete the SF-36 questionnaire

at the beginning of the treatment and after 4-6 months. The homeopathic medicine and potency were not pre-defined, but were adapted to each single patient according to individualised homeopathic prescription. 73.6% completed the study.

Result: The mean and median scores of all life quality dimensions rose. More than 60% of the cases experienced an improvement in pain and the limitations caused by pain, as well as in limitations in social activities and health in general. All the differences between pre/post post treatment were statistically highly significant, with the strongest results in the 'bodily pain' and 'vitality' parameters (P < 0.0001).
