Editing in the arrange page (non-destructive-does not change original audio file)

1) Drag your audio file from the bin into the arrange page. Press escape to bring up the toolbar. Select the scissors tool

2) Chop the audio file into sections. You can now move these parts around the arrange page independently

3) Use the Fade tool to apply smooth fades between your audio files

4) You can copy and paste your audio files around the arrange page either by holding alt+drag or by using cmd+C for copy and cmd+V for paste (to where the curser is)

Using the flex tool

You can move events within a section (region) by using the flex tool.

Set the track for use with flex (try out different options- I have used slicing as we are using sound effects and not music) in the inspector.

Choose the flex tool from the tools and then click inside the region to move a particular sound forwards or backwards. Before flex
