Welcome to the Centennial Park District, a vibrant, friendly
neighborhood in Downtown Atlanta. Think of it as Atlanta’s
playground, where locals and tourists come to eat, drink and
find countless things to see and do. Attractions, hotels and, of
course, plenty of restaurants are found here, and this guide will
help you fuel yourself to experience everything in the District.
Discover German cuisine and southern barbeque on the same
block. Chef-driven watering holes will offer relaxation after a
day of walking, and kid-friendly settings will keep every family
member happy. Restaurants with grab-and-go options fit a busy
sightseeing schedule, and if you’d like to linger over a family-
style meal, we offer that, too. Please enjoy our District. We are
glad you’re here.

5 MENU GUIDE
In the early 1990s, Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG) CEO Billy Payne looked
out of his office in downtown Atlanta and saw a bleak landscape between the city’s central
business and hospitality core and future Olympic venues. ACOG raised $75 million in private
funds to redevelop the area into an inviting park for visitors and residents. The result was one
of the first urban infill parks in the country: Centennial Olympic Park. The area immediately
attracted developers, restaurateurs and visionaries. Now, the District has grown into an iconic
destination, drawing more than 8 million visitors each year, showcasing attractions, sporting
events, special events, restaurants, lounges and hotels.
Centennial Olympic Park recently
completed renovations to refresh
and renew its legacy.
Fountain of Rings Plaza: Andrew Young
International Boulevard was raised to
plaza level to create a pedestrian walkway
through the Park from the hotel corridor
and attractions. A new sculpture called
The Spectacular is located at Centennial
Olympic Park Drive.
Paralympic Plaza: This new access point
honors the athletes who participated in
the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games.
Southern Company Amphitheater: The
1200-seat amphitheater received upgrades
for creating memorable outdoor music
experiences.
Unity Plaza: A water feature extending from
Centennial Olympic Park Drive to Baker Street
creates a new entry point.
West Lawn Promenade: Find a new medal
podium and more than an acre of additional
greenspace.
