8.1 Revise Potential Revenue

• Was there feedback from your teacher and mentor about your potential revenue calculations?

• Incorporate the feedback into your calculations.

8.2 Pitch Guidelines

• The story of your app

Who, what, where, when, why, how?

• Sell your company to whoever is listening.

It’s worth investing with us because…

How would you persuade a customer to purchase your app?

• Connect potential customers/investors with an idea not just the app itself

Pitching/Workbook

Pitch Requirements

• The pitch is 4 minutes long (+/- a few seconds)

• All members of the team need to appear in the video.

• The video can be any format the team wants: a skit, presentation in front of slides, testimonials from users, etc.

• You can also search Technovation on Youtube to watch some other examples.

Pitch Suggestions

• Speak clearly and confidently

• Make eye contact with the camera

• Instead of “um”, try pausing or taking a natural breath

• No gum or candy while speaking

• Dress for success. Make sure your outfits are appropriate and professional.

• SMILE! Be proud of your work

Visual Aid for Your Pitch

• People often use slide decks to give the audience a visual reference for presentations.

• You can choose to do that here if you want to do so.

Generate some buzz

• Get people talking and show you are on to something

• Use social media to spread the word and create excitement

• You can use this as part of your pitch video.

8.3 Plan Your Pitch

• Plan out how your team wants to do the pitch video.

• Write out a script if you need to do so.

• What are the things you need to make the video you’re planning? (video camera, computer to edit video, etc)

Pitching/ Workbook

8.4 Continue Working on Your App

• Continue working on your app!

• Check off the features you’ve already completed and see if the features you have left can be completed in the next few weeks.

• Take a look at the priorities you set before and see if they’re still correct. Reassign priorities if you need to do so!

Next Week

• Begin filming Pitch Video

• Demo Video guidelines

• Continue working on prototype
