A Few Statistics• In 2013 veteran unemployment exceeded comparable

civilian demographics from 1.5 to 9%

• On average, ~211,000 veterans transition from the armed forces annually

• Between now and 2018 that number grows to ~250,000

• Veterans make up ~10% of the labor force

• New regulations for government contractors: Affirmative Action for certain classes of veterans; in effect as of 24 March 2014
