Exceptional Family Member Program
Happy New Year from Marine Corps Family Team Building!
Wow! It's 2017! Seventeen years into the new millennium. While we aren't all flying Jetsons-style cars, the advancement in science and technology is light years ahead of where we were! Smart phones, high definition TVs, cars that can park themselves…where will the next 17 years take us?
What are your goals and aspirations for 2017? Weight loss? Saving money? Improving relationships?
If your goal is the latter, Marine Corps Family Team Building th(MCFTB) can help. On Friday, January 20 join us for “Before I Do,” a special workshop for
engaged or newly married (less than two years) couples. Before I Do covers many of the issues couples frequently encounter: money, intimacy, in-laws, spirituality and more. This day-long course ensures your Marines and spouses start their lives together with a solid foundation. If volunteering is on your list of resolutions, consider attending Family Readiness Assistant (FRA)
thTraining on January 5 . FRA Training will prepare you to be an appointed volunteer for your command. Included in the training are the required courses Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Operational Security (OPSEC).
Last up for January is Lifestyles, Insights, Networking, Knowledge and Skills (LINKS)for Spouses. The is “Marine Corps 101” for spouses, during which they will unlock some of the mysteries of the Marine Corps, including rank structure, PCS moves, how to read an LES and more. The January
thsession is being held on January 28 at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown.
For more information about the above classes, contact MCFTB at 757-445-6875.
Happy New Year!
