& MAESTRO ALASDAIR NEALE’S 10TH ANNIVERSARY

A Picnic with the Players, Totally Tchaikovsky Concert and Gala

Celebration — the first weekend of October was alive with energy

surrounding the Marin Symphony’s concert and special events.

PICNIC WITH THE PLAYERS

Marin Symphony musicians, Music Director Alasdair Neale and guest artist

Orion Weiss took a lunch break between final rehearsals for Totally Tchaikovsky.

At the gathering, musicians relaxed with each other, and subscribers had the

chance to get closer to Orion Weiss, Maestro Neale, and the players.

On October 2nd, we debuted our new 3pm Sunday performance time at the

first concert of the season with four Tchaikovsky masterpieces.

OPENING GALA CELEBRATION

Following Totally Tchaikovsky, more than 200 people strolled a few steps

from the Marin Memorial Auditorium to celebrate the opening concert of the

Symphony’s Fresh Local Music season. Guests savored a specially prepared

cocktail, Champagne or wines and fresh food. People danced well into the warm

fall evening and bid on auction items including a private dinner, wine and more.
