who exemplifies leadership and commitment within the R.A. Riddell school community, and who has consistently demonstrated personal growth in their athletic and academic accomplishments

• Mary Keyes Award– Awarded annually to a female high school student in an inner

city school to attend the Olympic Academy

attend the Ontario Olympic Youth Academy

• Homeless Baseball—Help acquire equipment

• Ancaster Toyota bursary for inner city children to attend Hamilton Gymnastics Academy

• Assist the Hamilton Sport Hall of Fame in their selection of Hall of Famers

• Gained a grant throught the Ministry of Health Promotion to run an inner city soccer league for one year

• Assisted with various bids like Pan Am Games

• Assisted with the Ontario Elite Gymnastics Meet held in Hamilton

Other Initiatives

• Sport and non-sport members of any town, city or village of any size across the country are able to use good sport intentionally to live the True Sport principles

• Members of a True Sport community believe that good sport can make a big difference.

• The True Sport tips and tools will allow communities to actively pursue the True Sport Principles and create a healthy, fair, inclusive and fun sport atmosphere

• We were recognized with an award (2007) as a leading True Sport community in Canada—reviving momentum
