The students give their feedback in a structured questionnaire regarding
the overall aspects of the institute. The questionnaire usually includes
feedback relating to Institutional Governance, Faculty performance,
academics, facilities & placement. Course-wise Feedback form is
administered to students to know the quality of teaching in terms of
pedagogies used, subject knowledge of the teacher, communication skill,
Problem solving skill etc of concerned faculty. Besides, their level of
satisfaction on placement value added courses, curricular and co-
curricular activities, facilities in the campus, and industry interface etc.
are also given due priority.
11 Grievance redressal
mechanism for faculty, staff
and students.
The grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students is well
defined and operates as follows:
1. For Faculty:
Faculty members bring their grievances to the notice of the Principal /
Director through the Head of the Department. Principal / Director
inquires about the grievances and if needed brings it also to the notice of
the Chairman of the Board of Governors.
2. For Staff:
The grievance is referred through the sectional heads to the concerned
Administrative Officer and/or Registrar. The matter is sometimes referred
to the Principal / Director.
3. For Students:
I. Students refer their academic problem to the concerned course
coordinator. If the concerned course coordinator is unable to solve their
problems they go to the Head of the Programme / Principal.
II. For any problem other than academics the students referrer their
problem to their mentors. Besides for specific problems like hostel they
refer to hostel superintendent and subsequently to warden, for placement
to placement Head.
III.The grievances related to the examinations are referred to the
Controller of the Examination. For facilities in the campus any problem
arises the students refer to the A.O / Head of the Department. The
grievances related to the departmental activities are represented to the

Industrial Visits / Tours In the educational tour included 10-day trip to the Bangkok, Patiala
Approximately 200 MBA & PGDM students traveled to these countries
to gain first-hand experience about global business practices. In order to
provide international exposure and cross cultural business environment
and practice RCM sends standards of MBA and PGDM under the
guidance of faculty members to visit other countries. This unique learning
opportunity enables the students to have real life experience learning of
socio-economic life and business practice of other country.
Through a combination of individual research, teamwork, pre- and post-
trip presentations, and on-site learning expedition, students are given the
opportunity for a knowledge-based experience to be community
participants and global citizens. Upon returning from Bangkok remarked
“International travel is the single most effective way to learn and
understand new cultures and the social, political and economic life of
those cultures. This was an experience that helped the MBA & PGDM
students, as well as the faculty, learn much more about the people of the
two worlds we visited…it was priceless.”Trip itineraries include cultural
immersion, business visits and exploration of the country‟s famed
attractions. The trip to Bangkok was led by Prof. Subrat Kumar Parida ,
Prof. Prabhuram Tripathy & Prof.Sarita Nayak
For the students, industrial tours are conducted frequently. Theories are
not sufficient training grounds to groom Management students. Realising
the importance of practical experience, RCM has made industrial tour
mandatory for its students. Visits to industrial establishments and
production sites are arranged for the students to give them an opportunity
to acquire first hand knowledge and practical insight into the working of
an organisation. In addition, interactive sessions with corporate
managers/leaders are arranged during the visits. Students submit write-
ups and make presentations in the class, which promotes group learning.
Alumni activities The alumni Association of the institute located in Alumni Bhawan in the
campus provides opportunities for alumni to stay connected with their
alma mater. In fulfilling its commitment to strengthen relations with
alumni, the Institute organizes a host of activities to enhance the
interaction. Alumni meet at different metros are organized every year.
Alumni Meet 2011 was organized at Viswa Yuvak Kendra, New Delhi on
Sunday, November 6-2011. A web-based alumni directory allows alumni
to find contact information about old pals and to update alumni own
details so that friends can get in touch with alumni. Alumni are invited to
talk on any topic of their professional and field. Ongoing reunions are
organized batch wise for better bonding with the Institute. The last
Alumni Home Coming was organized on 26th December 2011 at RCM. It
has been decided to hold the 1st Saturday of January as the annual Alumni
Home coming every year.
