• The Romans occupied the area of present day Luxembourg (Gallia Celtica) in 53 B.C. under rule of Julius Caesar.

• Before the Romans got their hands on this place, the wondrous Celts called these lands home.

• The Romans had more swords, so they decided it was theirs.
