Views ofchangingworldGroup Exhibitionin Oxnard

Manyartists are inspiredby theworld they inhabit,and thecurrentexhibition,“Environmental Impact:Selections fromtheFrederickR.WeismanArt Foundation,”showcases someartistic viewsofachangingenvironment.Theshowruns throughFeb. 21at theCarnegieArtMuseum inOxnard.

The environment isstrongly affected bythe Earth’s relentlesslyevolving weather conditionsand man-made stimuli.This exhibit shows howartists have reproduced,commented and critiquedthe ever-changingenvironment, whether theresult of nature’s forcesor human interventions. It

brings together differentapproaches to the subject —both formal and conceptual.One example is “Full Moon,”acrylic on canvas withcutout paper by Mi Ju,shown here.

The show is curatedby Billie MilamWeisman,director of the Frederick R.

Weisman Art Foundation,and funded by the FrederickR. Weisman Art Foundation.
