1. It’s a BIG place!

3. We depend on it in order to survive

4. We only have one of it

(we have yet to find a suitable replacement)

IntroductionIntroductionOur main focus question for the year is: To What Extent Should We Embrace Globalization?

We need to know what globalization is before we can understand that question

Globalization: The process by which the world’s citizens are becoming increasingly connected to and dependent on one another.

We will be looking at different perspectives and points of view:

Perspective: what people believe to be true based on their collective experience as a group; a world view.

Point of View: What individuals believe to be true based on their personal experience.

people in the world!

Humanity exists in differing cultures, lifestyles, in different climates, and survive in varying conditions

We dress differently, worship in different ways and speak different languages

And yet . . . . We really are all the same!

It’s very simple – as God’s children, we all

1.Have basic needs

2.We share common concerns and dreams

3.We depend upon our world

4.We depend upon one another

5.We’ve created a sense of “sameness” despite our differences – case in point – a conversation in Ghana!
