Conclusions and Recommendations

SSC requires factoring the understanding of our cities and trends (unequal, barely democratic, &).SSC requires answering the basic questions:

What is our vision for the city? Fairer, safer, resilient, democratic, sustainable.What view of sustainabilty? New economy more than green economy (cars with etanol).What do we need to measure? Quality of life from citizens perspective (what we measure is what we see and manage –indicators).What kind of technology do we need? One that empowers citizens: not only data suppliers but open-end networked users, producing knowledge to change the city. (technology as a bridge).
