Life’s Rules and How They Apply to School

Do eat healthy snacks.

Don’t bring candy, gum or seeds to school.

Do bring school supplies daily.

Don’t bring any markers or graffiti paint tools.

Do tell an adult if you know of something unsafe or illegal.

Don’t bring guns (real or fake),knives, or other dangerous objects to school.

Do bring baggies of healthy fruit

Don’t use the fruit for a pipe or the baggy for weed!

Do keep a clean backpack and other school supplies.

Don’t write or tag on your backpack, agenda, textbooks or notebook.

Do carry and keep track of your school ID (only the 1st one is free)

Don’t deface your school ID in any way.

Your ID is required for many things at school – dances, promotion activities, yearbooks, etc.

Do write neatly inside notebooks and agendas. Don’t write sloppily or tag on any

papers or notebooks involved with school work.

Do help make posters with positive messages and ideas. Don’t deface our school or any

school items with tagging, gang related pictures or “hater” remarks.

Do use White Out correction tape.

Don’t bring liquid correction fluid to school.

Do use lanyards or key-rings to keep your keys safe.

Don’t use/wear any items that name a professional sports team.

Do wear your uniform neatly and properly. Follow the uniform rules!

Don’t dress in ill fitting (too tight or too loose) clothes or wear improper colors.

Don’t bring toys or other items that will distract you or your classmates or make them feel unsafe in school.

Do stay focused, do your assignments, and work hard to achieve your goals.

Do be careful with textbooks and other school property.

Students must pay for damaged/lost textbooks.

Don’t write in school property or let you dog chew your books.

Do wear appropriate jewelry or make-up if it makes you feel good.

Don’t wear gauges or facial piercings of any kind.

Pierced earrings/posts are ok for your ear lobes only

Do follow the rules and laws of society and the school.

Don’t bring (or hold for someone else) paraphernalia, drugs, or weapons on campus at any time.

Do get recognized for positive achievements.

Don’t get recognized, or left behind for negative behavior or lack of effort.
