A group in alumni , highly establishedin their careers, got together to visittheir old universityprofessor.

Conversation soon turn into complaints about stress in workand life

Offering he’s guests coffeethe professor went to thekitchen and returned with alarge pot of coffee and anassortment of cups.

Porcelain, plastic, glass,crystal and some plain looking,

Some expensive, someexquisite – telling themto help themselves with coffee

When all the students had acup of coffee in the handthe professor said:

“if you have noticed, all the expensivecups were taken up, leaving behindthe plain and cheap one’s

While it is normal to you to only wantthe best for yourselves, that is thesource of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itselfadds no quality to the coffee.

In most cases it is just moreexpensive and in some caseseven hides what we drink.

What we all really wanted wasthe coffee, not the cup, butyou constantly went for the best cups.

And then you began eyeing eachothers cups.

Now consider this:

Life is the coffee,the jobs, money andposition in societyare the cups.

They are just tools to hold andcontain life, and the type of cupwe have does not define, nor changethe quality of life we live.

Sometimes by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoythe coffeeGod hasprovidedfor us
